Genealogy

We were so lucky to have Valentina's Nana to explain what is a Genealogy and why is it important.

Genealogy can provide a doorway to the past. Genealogy can certainly mean different things to different people. We were learning to trace our family tree, jump into our family history and research our ancestors can be a source of inspiration and support our learning on Turangawaewae -A place to stand.

We have discussed about our family tree. And some of us have discovered that some of our ancestors has done something interesting and unique records sets from around the world. And where they are come from.
Room Seven loved it!! It is a rewarding and challenging process

Buddy Reading

Oscar is reading to his sister.

At the Start of Term 2

At the Start of Term 2

On Monday we were buddy reading with our little friends from Room 8.
It was cute to hear my buddy reading to me.

We have learned new skills creating our artwork for ANZAC poem
and coloured it in which was quite hard because we had to be
careful because some of us made a mistake but
it was still AWESOME.

On Tuesday we have learned how to swim at Lloyd Elsmore
Park Pool, it was cold and fun!

This week we went to Room 12 at Exploration station
we were learning about Makey, Makey and Merge Cube.
We were making models about being “helpful and smart”
for computer with Mrs Lee.

Photography

On week 2, Term 2 Room 7 were learning
how to do photography!
We went out into the school and took pictures
of nature and things that we wanted to take.
Next we learned to upload them onto computers
and then they would turn them into
MASTERPIECES.
